Description
This segment from the 2012 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Sarah Brady, a senior at Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies in Metairie. Brady has endured several medical problems, including kidney cancer, neurofibromatosis, spondylolisthesis, and scoliosis. She also lost her home in Hurricane Katrina and had to live in a church shelter with her mother for seven months. Despite these challenges, Brady is an excellent student and an inspiration to others.
