This segment from the 2012 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Katie Browne, a senior at Zachary High School. Browne has overcome difficulties in her personal life, including the loss of her house in a fire and the death of her mother in a car accident in 2011. She is an excellent student and an all-star catcher on the softball team. She was named the Most Valuable Player in her district and received a scholarship to play softball for the University of Georgia.
