Description
This segment from the 2014 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Cody Crews of Deville, a sophomore at Cenla Christian Academy in Pineville. Crews has overcome a dog attack in 2005 that caused serious damage to his face, mouth, and tongue. He is a straight-A student, a member of the baseball, football, basketball and track teams, and a tireless volunteer. He initiated the Send a Book on Safari program to help children in Africa learn English. He also collects shoes for the Soles4Souls program and reads to children in daycares.
