Description
This segment from the 2014 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Morgan Gautreau, an eighth grade student at St. Theresa Middle School in Gonzales. At the age of nine, Gautreau was diagnosed with Spina Bifida. She has endured five spinal surgeries and a bladder reconstruction surgery. Despite her physical ailments, she is an excellent student, a cheerleader, and a dancer. She raised $18,000 for Spina Bifida research through a program she started called Making a Difference with Morgan.
