This segment from the 2017 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Alyssa Carson, a sophomore at the Baton Rouge International School. Carson is working towards her dream of being an astronaut on the first mission to Mars. She is an astronaut in training and is the first person to attend all three NASA Space Camps in the United States, Canada, and Turkey.
