Description
This segment from the 2019 Young Heroes Award Ceremony features a profile of honoree Nalon Soileau, a sophomore at LSU University Laboratory School in Baton Rouge. Soileau was born with a congenital birth defect affecting both legs called tibial and femoral torsion and learned how to walk with the help of orthopedic devices and physical therapy. She now runs track, competes in pageants, and is a dedicated volunteer.
