Oral history with civil rights attorney, educator, and former associate justice pro tempore of the Louisiana Supreme Court Jesse Nealand Stone, Jr. Conducted on 9 October 2000. In this interview, Dr. Stone discusses his early life, his education in law at Southern University, and his experiences throughout his lengthy career in law. Stone's legal career started in Shreveport in the 1950s. While practicing law, Dr. Stone took on cases that focused on voting and civil rights in Northern Louisiana.
