Description
Oral history with District 9 State Representative Billy Montgomery. Conducted on June 24, 2007. In this interview, Montgomery discusses his early life, his time as a school administrator and coach, and his start in public office. He also talks about his outlook on leadership, issues his district faced, and some of the legislative committees he served on. Montgomery served as the representative for House District 9 for twenty years. This interview is part of a series of interviews conducted with numerous Louisiana legislators being term limited following the 2007 legislative session. Part 1 of 3.
