Oral history with District 57 State Representative Robert Faucheux Jr. Conducted on June 21, 2007. In this interview, Faucheux discusses how he started his career in Louisiana public office, some high points from his time in legislation, the needs of his district, and some of the bills he passed while in office. He also talks about his Cajun heritage, his time on various House committees, and the influence the governor has over the House and Senate. Faucheux served in the Louisiana House of Representative for twelve years. This interview is part of a series of interviews conducted with numerous Louisiana legislators being term limited following the 2007 legislative session. Part 1 of 2.
