Oral history with managing editor of The Advocate Ed Price. In this interview, Price reflects on his long career with The Advocate, starting in 1947 after his service in World War II. Price discusses the battles between Long and anti-Long papers in Louisiana, provides his observations on past Louisiana governors including Earl Long, Jimmie Davis, John Mckeithen, and David Treen, the Civil Rights Movement in Louisiana, and the various mayors of Baton Rouge during his time of employment, and the effect of the media on Louisiana. Price worked for Baton Rouge Advocate for forty-seven years.
