Description
Oral history with president of Public Affairs Research Council and Louisiana Association Business and Industry Ed Steimel. Conducted on December 20, 1992. In this interview, Steimel reflects on serving under Louisiana Governors Earl Long, Robert Kennon, Jimmie Davis, John McKeithen, the multiple terms of Edwin Edwards, David Treen, and Buddy Roemer. He also discusses the Civil Rights Movement (including the famous Bogalusa Civil Rights March of 1967) and the Labor Movement in Louisiana, the issues with the Louisiana Constitutional Convention of 1973, the Right to Work Law, and other aspects of Louisiana history, politics, and his career. The end section of the video includes photos of Steimel throughout his career.
