Description
Interview with an unidentified man with the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare on assisting Plaquemines Parish recover following Hurricane Camille. He states that he will move in with all agencies of the federal government to restore public facilities, repair roads, remove debris from streets, help rebuild levees not owned by Corp of Engineers, drain flooded areas, help fight health problems, and help rebuild schools. He states that there is currently no estimate on the costs, but compares the work being similar to that during Hurricane Betsy, only in a smaller area. He states that only the communities south of Port Sulphur suffered more severe damage.
