Interview with Jerry Jenson about 23 people rounded up during an operation to remove the 3 major narcotic rings operating in New Orleans. Jenson states that the heroin rings accounts for 80-90% of narcotics distributed in the New Orleans area; He continues that the investigation started in November 1968, and was a joint operation between the Federal Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, the New Orleans Police Department's Narcotics Unit, and the Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Office's Narcotics Unit. Jenson states that not all of the 23 are currently in custody, but all have been indicted. Only 9 remain at large.
