Description

Interview with an unidentified man on having a successful year so far, though most of the complaints and work will come within the next week to 10 days, as Easter is the time of year that sets off giving away rabbits, goslings and chickens to little children. He states that since children don't know how to handle them, many of the animals die. He states that people don't mean to be cruel, but many die because they don't have the proper facilities to care for the animals. He continues that he has been successful in passing an ordinance in Orleans Parish which prohibits the selling of little chickens and goslings under a few weeks of age unless they are sold by the dozen. He also states that it is against the law to dye or color chickens, goslings, and rabbits in Orleans Parish. He feels that the troubles this year is less than in years past.
