This program from May 18, 2023, features Kara St. Cyr moderating a panel discussion following a virtual screening of five short films from the Bridge Builders Collective from Independent Lens and Indie Lens Pop-Up. The panelists are: Lauren Grace Cargo, an independent filmmaker and co-producer for the Bridge Builders Collective; Ivy Mathis, a formerly incarcerated person and developer of a six-week reentry program called Life Support; Dr. Anjali Niyogi, the founder and director of Formerly Incarcerated Transitions, or FIT Clinic program; and Syrita Steib, a formerly incarcerated person and founder of Operation Restoration. They discuss: the Bridge Builders Collective project; the work of their organizations; the obstacles faced by women in their transition from prison to the outside world; and the resources available to help the transition.
