Description

In this episode from the “New Orleans Cuisine” series of “Savor the Regions” from November 22, 1997, Nutritional Chef Kelly Patrick prepares dishes centered around party foods. Chef Patrick puts a health twist on popular Louisiana Dishes. She first prepares Louisiana Poor Man’s Caviar. Next, she visits Bayona restaurant in New Orleans where Chef Susan Spicer prepares an exciting Portobello Mushroom and Crab Meat party dish. Finally, Chef Patrick heads back to the kitchen to prepare Oyster and Artichoke Soup with Asiago, and Peppered Crab Cakes with Maque Choux Relish. This program was preserved through a 2022-2023 Public Broadcasting Preservation Fellowship.
