Description

In this episode from the “New England Cuisine” series of “Savor the Regions” from May 15, 1999, Nutritional Chef Kelly Patrick prepares dishes using fresh clams and mussels. Chef Patrick puts a healthy twist on these classic New England ingredients. She first prepares New England Clam Chowder with Herbed Drop Biscuits. Next, she visits Martha’s Vineyard and attends a traditional clambake on the seaside. Finally, Chef Patrick heads back to the kitchen to prepare Steamed Mussels and Clams with Chorizo and Peppers, and Marinated Seafood and Artichoke Salad. This program was preserved through a 2022-2023 Public Broadcasting Preservation Fellowship.
