Description

This segment from the March 1, 1996, episode of the series “Louisiana: The State We’re In” features Arcie Chapa’s report on Louisiana’s participation in a national survey called Save Outdoor Sculpture, a project funded by the Smithsonian Institution and the National Institute for Conservation of Cultural Property, with the goal of cataloging all outdoor sculptures. Chapa reports that many outdoor sculptures are endangered due to neglect, vandalism, and environmental pollution.
