Description
This episode of the series “La Veillee” from November 2, 2023, features Drake LeBlanc, Will McGrew, and Caitlin Orgeron of Tele-Louisiane reporting on the closure of several businesses in North Lafayette, a predominately Black Creole neighborhood, including Sid’s One Stop Shop after 47 years in business. They interview two North Lafayette residents, Clifford Goody and Geneva Phillips of CREOLE, Inc. McGrew then interviews Sid Williams, the owner of El Sido’s Blues and Zydeco Club, who discusses why he had to close Sid’s One Stop Shop.
