An oral history interview conducted on November 11, 2017, with Mike Chapman of Sulphur, Louisiana. Chapman, a native of West Monroe, served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He discusses: his decision to enlist; his assignment with the 92nd Assault Helicopter Company; his role as a helicopter pilot with a gun platoon providing aerial support; his combat missions; returning home; serving with the Louisiana National Guard for over 27 years; the Vietnamese awarding him the Cross of Gallantry with a Star; and his memories of life on the base in Vietnam.
