An oral history interview conducted on December 6, 2017, with Kenneth Best of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Best served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He discusses: his ROTC training at Georgia Tech; his decision to join the Marine Corps; his training as a naval flight officer and electronic countermeasures officer; his assignment as a legal officer in Japan; flying reconnaissance missions along the Ho Chi Minh Trail; returning home; the death of his fraternity brother in an airplane crash during the war; attending reunions of his basic school class; and his role in organizing the memorial services at the reunions for the eleven officers from his class who died during the war.
