Host Marie-Jo Therio discovers Cajun French heritage through the eyes and life experience of local South Louisiana residents. Marie-Jo speaks with Richard Guidry, local educator and author. He talks about the arrival of Acadians in Louisiana, the history of French in the Louisiana school system, and the hardships faced by the Cajuns in the 20th century when the French language was banned by the local government.
